Dry cat food is widely used and is also known by the name of kibble. It can be stored for a long period of time and comes in a large array of flavors and varieties. However, dry cat food does not tend to provide your cat with complete nutrition meaning your cat may need supplementary food. In addition, they often contain large quantities of processed ingredients or fillers which are not be ideal for a cats diet.
Therefore if you choose to feed your cat dry food, select a high-quality dry food that does not have an overabundance of carbohydrates or other fillers. Finally, feeding a cat a diet of solely dry cat food can cause chronic dehydration and other serious health problems. For this reason, we do not recommend a diet consisting of just dry cat food and strongly encourage you to at the very least provide a mix of wet and dry food.
