Horizon is a family-owned pet food brand based in Saskatchewan, Canada. The brand was founded in 2006 and has stuck by the values that it established during its inception around nutrition and quality.

Horizon produces all of its own pet food recipes in its dedicated facilities in Saskatchewan, Canada. They also aim to source the bulk of the ingredients used in their recipes from local suppliers in Canada.

Horizon pet food products are available for purchase at select retail stores across the United States and Canada. You can also purchase Horizon recipes from some online retailers like Chewy and Amazon.

Chicken Meal is the recipe’s primary ingredient and is an excellent source of animal-based protein and fat. Many dog owners are afraid of meat meals like Chicken Meal, but they shouldn’t be as they are just meat that has been processed to remove its moisture content.

While the proportion of meat ingredients in this recipe isn’t quite as high as the Legacy range, it is still suitable for the majority of dogs.
