Wet cat food or canned cat food are those which contain a high percentage of moisture. This moisture helps prevent chronic dehydration which is commonplace among cats who only consume Dry Cat Food.
The nutrition of wet cat food varies significantly but tends to be somewhat better than Dry Cat Food on average. Unnecessary carbohydrates are less commonplace as they are not needed to create kibble or as fillers. Despite this, some wet cat food does contain fillers and high levels of carbohydrates.
