Badlands Ranch Information
Badlands Ranch is a new pet food brand that was recently launched in the United States. It was founded by the famous American actress Katherine Heigl, which many will recognize from her years as one of the main characters on the hit show Grey’s Anatomy.
The launch of pet food brands by celebrities is not uncommon, and there are several other examples.
These include Made By Nacho, which was launched by the celebrity chef Bobby Flay; Rachael Ray Nutrish, which was launched by the celebrity chef Rachael Ray; and Halo, which is associated with the famous tv host Ellen Degeneres.
While many will claim the launch of brands like this is a cash grab for celebrities, Katherine Heigl does have some history in the animal space as an animal rights activist.
In 2008 Katherine and her family founded a foundation focused on ending animal cruelty and abuse across the world. The brand claims that Badlands Ranch is an extension of this effort and aims to support the lives of pets.
The launch of the brand did garner some media attention, including articles by Forbes and People.
However, outside of the association with Katherine Heigl, there is very limited information available online about the brand, including where the food is produced and if this is done by a third party.
For now, it appears you can only purchase the brand directly from their website, which means it isn’t available on common pet food websites like Chewy, Petflow, or Amazon.
The last general comment we will make is regarding Badland Ranch’s pricing and cost, which, to put it simply, isn’t cheap.
Comparing it to a very similar brand, Ziwi Peak, their air-dried beef recipe can be found on Chewy for around $60 for 2.2lbs, whereas Badlands Ranch’s recipe is priced at around $60 for 1.5lbs.
Given that Ziwi Peak is considered to be one of the best brands in this space, the pricing difference is significant and hard to justify, and many potential customers are already commenting on this.
However, Badlands Ranch does offer some bulk discounts for ordering 3 or 6 bags of their food, which you can see below; however, even with this discount, the cost is still high.
Badlands Ranch Product Range
While Badlands Ranch only just launched, its product range is extremely small in comparison to most dog food brands.
So far, they only have a single air-dried dog food recipe which is known as Superfoods Complete – Beef Flavor, and then this is joined by a single dog treat called Superfoods Bites.
If Badlands Ranch achieves the success they are aiming for, it’s likely they will expand this range to include additional flavors of Superfoods Complete, perhaps Chicken, Salmon, or Lamb.
Many other similar brands also expand to produce nonfood products like supplements, and we will have to see if the brand goes also goes in this direction.
Badlands Ranch Nutrition
Given that Badlands Ranch’s dog food recipe is air-dried, it will come as no surprise that it provides excellent nutrition, high in animal-based protein and fat.
You can see this visualized below in our estimation of its nutritional content.
With a sum of protein and fat at 65% of the recipe’s nutritional content, this is far above most typical dry dog food recipes.
Most dry dog food recipes would typically have a sum of protein and fat in the 40-50% range.
However, while this sum is impressive when compared to dry dog food when it is compared to some other air-dried dog food brands like Ziwi Peak, this is less impressive as they often have sums in excess of 80 or 90% protein and fat.
Regardless this nutritional profile is well suited to most dogs, especially those that are younger or more active.
We will also note that sometimes we look out for levels of other nutrients such as the Omega Fatty Acids, but sadly Badlands Ranch’s Guaranteed Analysis does not show these as it is not mandatory.
Badlands Ranch Ingredients
High-Quality Meat & Fish Ingredients
- Beef
- Beef Liver
- Beef Heart
- Salmon
Given that there is only a single recipe of Badlands Ranch’s Superfood Complete available at this time, there is a very limited number of meat and fish ingredients used by the brand.
Despite this, all of the ingredients found in that recipe are high-quality additions and fantastic sources of animal-based protein and fat.
In addition, the use of organ meat ingredients like Beef Liver and Beef Heart is fantastic as they can boost levels of protein and fat, as well as be dense sources of several beneficial vitamins and minerals that are not abundant in traditional meat cuts.
If that wasn’t enough, many dog owners find that the inclusion of organ meats such as these can improve palatability and taste, making the food more appealing to their dogs.
You can read more about why brands use organ meat ingredients in their recipes in our article Organ Meat Ingredients In Pet Food.
Other Notable Ingredients
The first listed plant-based ingredient found in Badlands Ranch’s Superfood Complete is Flaxseed which is one of the most common ingredients used in the industry.
Flaxseed is added to thousands of pet food recipes throughout the world and is one of the best plant-based sources of the Omega Fatty Acids.
These fatty acids are thought to have several health benefits to dogs, including an improvement in the condition of their skin and coat, as well as improved brain function.
However, there are other benefits to Flaxseed that many are not aware of. You can learn more about these in our article Flaxseed In Dog Food.
Another inclusion in the recipe is a small portion of Sweet Potatoes, which are a starch ingredient. While not as common as White Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes do see regular inclusion in dog food recipes.
They are typically present to provide a portion of carbohydrates and dietary fiber, and they can be a dense source of both.
However, while they do provide some additional nutrition outside of this carbohydrate content, it is not hugely notable.
A less common inclusion in dog food recipes that has made its way into Badlands Ranch’s recipe is Pumpkin.
Pumpkin is best known for its high fiber content, which many dog owners and dog food brands take advantage of to improve dogs’ digestion and encourage regular stools.
However, it is also a source of carbohydrates, and it has some other benefits, including high levels of vitamins and minerals like Beta Carotene and Vitamin A.
You can learn more about the use of Pumpkin in dog food and some of the best Pumpkin-including recipes in our article Best Dog Food With Pumpkin.
Lastly, the recipe contains a tiny portion of Carrots as a minor plant-based ingredient. Carrots are not common in dog food recipes but are used by some brands.
Similar to other vegetables, they can provide a mix of carbohydrates and fiber but also some beneficial vitamins and minerals, most famously, high levels of Vitamin A, which can help to improve and maintain vision.
Badlands Ranch Animal Testing
At this time, we have no information on whether Badlands Ranch participates in invasive or laboratory testing of animals.
However, given Katherine Heigl’s history of animal activism and welfare, we highly doubt this would be the case.
It would be excellent if Katherine and Badlands Ranch could confirm what testing they perform on their website to reassure their customers.
Many smaller dog food brands do not disclose information regarding testing, and this worries many dog owners who think that the food may not be sufficiently tested for long-term consumption.
Regardless, we are strongly against the use of invasive or laboratory testing for the production of pet food recipes and hope that any brands that continue to do so end this practice as soon as possible.
Badlands Ranch Recalls
Based on our research (FDA, AVMA, DogFoodAdvisor), we do not believe that Badlands Ranch has ever issued a recall which makes Badlands Ranch a recall-free dog food brand.
However, given that Badlands Ranch just launched and is such a young brand, this recall-free record is not a surprise or impressive.
It will take many years of consistent production and distribution for Badlands Ranch to prove that its food is produced with high quality and safety standards.
Recall records are an essential trait for dog food brands, especially young ones like Badlands Ranch, and they can make or break their success.
Regardless of their current record, we always encourage dog owners to be vigilant of any future recalls from Badlands Ranch or any other dog food brand to ensure their dogs remain healthy and safe.
Best of Badlands Ranch
Superfood Complete – Beef Formula Review
As we touched on earlier, so far, Badlands Ranch only has a single dog food recipe which is the above Superfoods Complete – Beef Recipe.
Sadly, this means we can’t dig into which of their recipes is the best when compared to each other.
However, despite this, the recipe is impressive and worth consideration for many dogs.
A large portion of Beef ingredients, including Beef, Beef Liver, and Beef Heart, is joined by a small portion of Salmon to provide an ample portion of animal and fish-based content.
Thanks to these ingredients, the recipe contains a minimum of 30% protein and a minimum of 14% fat which is above average, especially when compared to traditional dry dog food.
Outside of its meat and fish ingredients, the recipe contains smaller portions of several plant-based ingredients, including Flaxseed, Sweet Potatoes, Pumpkin, and Carrots.
These ingredients help to provide a modest proportion of carbohydrates and fiber, along with several beneficial micronutrients like the Omega Fatty Acids, Vitamin A, and Beta Carotene.
Superfood Bites – Beef Liver Treats Review
While Badlands Ranch may not offer a wide range of dog food recipes, they do already allow you to accompany your food orders with some treats.
The above Beef Liver treats are Badlands Ranch’s first treat offering and are one of our favorite types of dog treats.
Beef Liver or other organ-meat-based treats are a fantastic choice, both for their nutritional value and their appealing taste.
As they are 100% meat-based, these treats can help to complement your dog’s diet and provide some additional animal-based protein and fat, as well as several beneficial vitamins and minerals.
If that wasn’t enough, organ meats like Liver are extremely appealing to many dogs, making the treats a useful tool for training and obedience.

Do not buy dog food from Badlands Ranch. It made my dog very sick and we I went to return it I had to pay for returning food that I was told was they paid for even if entire bag had been eaten. So I spent almost 15.00$ to return a 39.95 item that made my dog sick. He threw it up after only eating a small portion bc I didn’t want him to get sick by suddenly exchanging his entire diet so I just gave him a small portion. Bad food horrible customer service
I have a very picky German Shepherd rescue who is 18 months. She’s in the normal range for weight, but barely. She could use a few pounds, but finding a food she loves is tough. She will eat something for a few days and then turns her nose up at it. Badlands Ranch, so far, is the ONE food she really likes consistently but it is VERY expensive. I’m on an montly subscription at a cost of $180 for six bags. Each bag is 24 ounces or 3 cups. If I were to feed her exclusively this brand, I would have to nearly triple what I bad. Instead I add it to other food and she usually picks out this brand and leaves the other kibble. I just might end up making her food in a crockpot and then adding this to ensure proper nutrition.
I have to agree with the person with the German Shepherd. I have two shepherds and if you look at their suggested feeding portions by weight, one bag wouldn’t even provide enough food for the day for my two dogs. The bag sizes just aren’t realistic unless you have a tiny dog. I buy dog food in 40-50lb bags, and even that will last less than a month.
I add supplements to their food that are much more reasonably priced and provide as much healthy protein without breaking the bank.
I just don’t see how this is affordable for the average dog owner.
I have 3 dogs, which as most pet parents know, feeding is important and can be challenging. I tried out one bag recently of the Badlands and all my dogs immediately ate it! That is by far a fist. I always mix a little human food to get them to eat. I was seeing they only ate that food not the kibble. I tried the expensive kind and even another online brand but when I tried the Badlands food it was so great to see all three of them going straight for the food! Thank you SOOOO much for making a great food for my babies!
I just want to say that since I haven’t use bad ranch food my husband and I have noticed a great improvement in two of our small dogs who were experiencing health issues and awesome mobility. We’re saying that both have improved and especially a little white Chihuahua he is actually walking more stable and trying to run with the other dogs we have. The food is very expensive but we try to see that the older dogs get the majority of the food daily and the others just seem to graze on it throughout the day and then they are provided with their regular moist food. All I can say is that I appreciate the efforts that has been put into this food for the animals health and well-being thank you Kathy for all you are doing to save dogs sincerely
I ordered 3 bags. Have 4 dogs 23# 22# 85# 12#.
3 dogs will not eat the food because it is like rock! You can’t break the pieces up! The large dog just swallows the pieces whole– so that isn’t good! $103 for little stones they can’t eat.
I want to return this food. I want a refund.
Theres no tumeric in it either.
Hi, my name is Paige and I am with Badlands Ranch. I would like to thank petfoodreviewer.com for taking the time to review our products. If anyone has any comments, questions, or concerns please email me at paige@badlandsranch.com. I would be happy to help.
This is not WSAVA compatible, do not buy.
I bought three bags. Because I have an 11 year old 60 lb. hounddog, I use it as a topper to the Hills Science Diet kibble. She grabs a mouthful of the mixed kibble and Badlands food, drops it on the floor to spread it out and eats the badlands food. The Hills kibble is left on the floor for me to pick up. She will only eat the Hills or any other dry food if there is nobody home to put in some Badlands. She seems to have a more energy lately. Her coat is shiny and she is not gaining weight, which had been a problem before because she begs for treats often. I give her a couple of pieces of the badlands and toss a couple more in the kibble and she will eat that as if it were a treat.
My doodle has never eaten 2 meals regularly until Badlands was added to his menu. I could never and would never feed him only this. He eats a portion of super quality food, a store brand kibble, topped with badlands. It’s his perfect recipe. Took me 2 years to find it.
I was watching a documentary when the Ad for
Badlands Ranch Dog Food popped up. I listened
intently to the process of finding the best
ingredients for dog health (the ingredients
in the food is similar to my ritual that I have also
used for arthritis)…I tried to order but the screen
went to the next ad. I think it was offered for
$39.95… I would appreciate an email regarding
the price of the food.
I bought one bag and then ordered three more on the special pricing that pops up after initial order. I have two dogs who I feed a raw formula I put together for them and decided to try this to use as topper and treats. My dogs are 1and 2 year old large size dogs and have been on raw since 10 weeks old and very healthy. I gave one bag to my daughter for her 9 year old poodle mix. All 3 dogs liked the food but all three developed dark slimy very mushy poops with several days. Since we stopped the Badlands, they are recovering with more solid stable looking poops. Sadly, I need to return the 4 bags of Badlands Ranch.
My German Shepherd is on a sodium restricted diet. I have called twice to find out the amount of sodium in one cup of the dog food. No one has been able to help me with this. The first man never called me back. The woman I spoke to assured me it was low in sodium but could not give me an amount. Somehow we got cut off and she never called back. I have three bags totaling $107.00 that I can not use if not provided with this information. I am not impressed with their customer service!
I’m very pleased in Badlands Ranch Superfoods Complete. My 2 dogs (a vizsla and a lab-mix breed) enjoy it and we have no problems at meal times. They love the smell and taste of this food and RUN to their bowls when it’s time to eat. I appreciate the high quality, beef, beef heart, beef liver, and salmon all responsibly sourced for this product. I have peace of mind knowing that I’m giving my girls a highly nutritious and palatable dog food.
I’ve not experienced hard, rock-like pieces. An occasional piece may be longer than others, but I break up the pieces, which is a snap and takes only a second to do. I too saw changes in their feces, so I quickly changed how I fed it to them. I mixed it in gradually with their previous food, and phased out the other kibble over time. This made a world of difference! Now, their feces is of regular consistency, firm, dark color; based on the food of course, and less odor. Other benefits include soft, shiny coat, bright eyes, increased energy, and allergy free! No more chewing on their paws, scratching at itchy, dry skin, or large patches of missing fur/hair.
I agree the product is expensive. However, I justify the higher cost because Badlands Ranch Superfoods Complete is made in an exclusively designed, private facility established for the primary purpose of making this food. It is shipped shortly after production, not stored in some long-term storage locker before it gets to a retail store to be bought. So, I’m confident the product is fresh when I receive it. PLUS, proceeds from the sale go to animal welfare programs. I learned that “the foundation” associated with Badlands Ranch receives some of these funds and uses them to rehabilitate shelter animals. Thus, preparing them for adoption, which requires funding to do. So, I’m not opposed to paying more for my dogs’ food.
I hope other dog parents find success with Badlands Ranch Superfoods Complete like our family did because it’s for a good cause… our dogs’ health and the welfare of homeless pets, and “puppy mill” survivors in need of shelter, medical care, and rehabilitation before being adopted.
How can the average person afford this for a dog that eats 4-5 cups of food a day?
I have a 9 year old pit/terrier mix (Hank) that is the pickiest eater EVER! We have tried to Dr. up his meals for years & literally have tried everything out there just to get him to eat because he only eats for survival. NOT a foodie guy at all! Badlands has been a TRUE gold medal winner here at our house. He gobbles it up 2x daily & even licks the bowl clean! LOL.. He is 60lbs., so YES, it’s expensive to feed a larger dog, however, this has been so worth it for our dog & his scenario. He is licking his paws 🐾 less as has minimal skin issues, now! We LOVE this product & are so grateful & thankful to have found something that Hank finally LOVES after all these year! 🐶❤️
Public Service Announcement – although my dog (15 lb Shih tzu) liked and ate the food with no problems, she got shards of it caught in her throat resulting in a blockage and manual removal by our vet. She is still healing but it will be a long process. $250+ vet visit plus the cost of this food is pretty pricey.
****Please keep an eye on your animal if you are feeding this food. ****
I have five big dogs and this product is completely cost-prohibitive. I bought six bags recently thinking that they would cover my dogs for at least a week, but my dogs eat 17 cups of food a day. I make raw food for them, but like to have good food to use in an emergency. After I placed the order, I realized that each bag, THE WHOLE BAG, has THREE cups of food in each. This means, all six bags of dog food will last ONE DAY. Ridiculous! Only for wealthy people apparently…
Please make it more affordable!!
Last night my dog could not get enough water, she was so parched! It kind of worries me that there are no indications on the bag as to how much sodium is in the food. I saw the amount of proteins, and carbohydrates, but nothing about sodium. the amount of water my dog has started intaking compared to other foods is quite the difference. Please let me know the amount of sodium in your dog food if I do not hear back from you I will have to return the food which my dog really likes but I’m concerned about her health.
We mix Badland complete 1/8 cup with each meal and our Lexie loves it. ( Goldendoddle 30 lbs.)
My dog loves this food. He usually doesn’t like to eat his regular kibble food unless I mix it with some kind of wet food or canned food. He inhaled this. The problem is it’s really expensive and it took a really long time for deliver. I think it was about a month or more. I’m sure if I signed up for the ongoing subscription that wouldn’t happen but for price I was surprised. The bag is also very small. It would probably only last my dog a few days. I’m going to have to mix with other food to make this work.
i have a suggestion for everyone complaining about pricing, difficultly adjusting or convenience. stop being sorry sacks of crap who live in denial. own up to the fact that you’ve more than likely fed your dog crap food for years due to your own negligence or very possibly your innocent ignorance. you can’t blame yourself for not knowing any better when the information is kept from you, but once you are shown the reality, you cannot keep avoiding it because it’s hard or inconvenient. you can’t rush the process of expecting your dog to perfectly digest healthy raw food after it’s been eating the original vile from chain brands and stores for so long, regardless if it’s “the best food a dog can eat.” it takes time, patience, consistent effort. all the things a good dog person needs and at the very least works on every day while having a dog in their lives. if it’s too expensive, get in the kitchen and chop up veggies, grind flaxseed and get some good raw meat/organs from a reliable store if you can and just use badlands as a topper. you can’t complain about it being expensive when cucumbers cost 68cents at walmart. stop being lazy for both you and your dog and get some real natural fruits and vegetables in their diet. of course it’s not easy. life isn’t easy. you brought another life into your home. why did you go out of your way to find a dog for your family and bring them into your life if you were just going to half a** it for all of you?
We have 4 dogs and use it as a supplement to their normal food. They love it. They will even eat it as a snack. It’s too expensive to be their only food source. Wish they would reduce the price and offer large bag quantities
I just ordered 3 bags. I usually feed Small Batch gently cooked raw, Raw Vibrance, or Primal and all of them are on par with the cost of Badlands. I believe in feeding raw or gently cooked. I do not use any chemicals on or in my dogs. I do not over vaccinate (I have them their blood titered to check for immunity). Yes, all of these things are expensive, but I believe that I owe my babies their best life for as long as I am blessed to have them.
I have 11/4 cup of dust in the bottom of each 24 Oz. Bag. Tried pouring it on canned food but it was so full of flax seeds it gave my shihtzu diarrhea. What a waste of money! And I don’t understand why they don’t clarify where it is made when I’m inundated with all kinds of unsolicited advice. Also I do not like their marketing tactics at all! And lastly,I tasted the food because my dog always was so thirsty after eating it, and it tastes quite salty. Am very upset that I fell for their advertising and bought a bunch of bags because I’m an elderly disabled person and unable to return them. I think Katherine Heigl has good intentions but the ultimate execution is not good. I will not buy this stuff again.
I bought one bag of the Super Food and my dog loved it. I purchased more and even started the auto ship to save money. I slowly started integrating the Super Food into his diet. All was good, at first, then after being on solely the Super Food for about a week, he started having very black, sticky poop. He was constantly wanting to eat grass during our walk, I took him off the Super Food and had to give him chicken and rice for a week to settle his stomach. I am glad that it works for some people, but it just did not agree with my dog’s stomach, and that’s saying a lot because I have a beagle, and they have stomachs of steel! I still give him the liver treats, sparingly. He likes them, and I haven’t seen any problems with them. I admire the good Ms. Heigl is doing with her dog rescue, and I wish her continued success with this business, Unfortunately, the food just does not agree with my dog’s stomach.
I have a two year old collie mix. She ate the Badlands dogfood consistently, at first, for about 4 weeks. Now, however, she is hesitating when I set her food down, and when she goes outsude, she wants to eat grass, and has, once before, thrown up after eating her meal. I’m taking her to the vet tomorrow to be checked. She is also no longer running, jumping, nor as playful as she used to be. I’m thinking it may be the dogfood, especially after reading similar stories in the above reviews. Cheers to Katherine for her efforts, but I’m thinking the food needs to be on the market longer before I can cintinue to feed it to my dog.
When will my dog food get here? Shira Oergel
Please make this more affordable and bags larger. The bag is small so I have to use as a topper.
So what is the sodium content ?
Has company replied?
Beware, I ordered the dog food & the treats as a subscription, and now are charging me the total for the food and treats, and I now only get the food at the same price. I was told they only have subscription for the food, not the treats. The website, when I first ordered, stated that it was a subscription to both food & treats. Very misleading. They charged me twice for same 1st order & 2nd order is when I found out about the discrepancies, when I received only the dog food (no treats), and was charged same as 1st order. Their solution was to give me a 30% refund for the 2nd order I never received with first, and pay again for an order of treats. (anotherwords, get 30% back from an extra $152 order never knew or received, and pay double full price on the treats without the subscription price…big rip-off.
My 3 dogs would not eat the food, but loves the treats. 1 dog has cancer, 1 diabetes, and the 3rd dog is in good health. I’m trying to do the best I can for the dogs with medical conditions (not to say I skimp on the healthy dog, I love them all the same). Since I’ve lost my husband and we were retired, this double amount is way to expensive with all the vet bills because of the 2 dogs.
I do not know why the dogs would not eat the food, but I tried some of the dust in the bottom of the bag, and it was very salty (my best guess is the salt content as they do not eat any human food that’s been salted, even a little during cooking).
Salt content seems to be a mystery to purchaser’s for a reason, as prior customer, like me have reached out for salt/sodium levels & never could obtain any answer, just run around.
My two dogs love BADLANDS dog chow and I mix it with some BLUE dry foods due to the cost. But my dogs clean their bowls completely which they did not always do with the dry kibble itself. Even when I used an additive to kibble it did not always satisfy my dogs taste. So I am a BADLANDS believer and their delivery is quick I might add.
It is far too expensive for my family. They need to say what the sodium content is for each bag and lower the price for me to take a chance on this new food.
I received my 4 bags of Superfoods Complete today for my 6 month old Shih-Tsu not realizing it was for adult dogs. He ate a small handful non stop. He loved it. My problem is that he will eat a food for maybe 3 days then he won’t eat it anymore. I’ve tried toppers, bone broth, cooked chicken and beef toppers, feeeze dried raw, farmer’s dog, expensive kibbles, etc. Was hoping this was going to be “the one” but it is only for adult dogs so I will use it as treats until he is an adult. It certainly has all the good things he needs to grow. If anyone has any ideas let me know, please!
For those who are interested in the amount of salt added to the Badland Dogfood, go back to the top and click on the ingredient list. A whole table of it comes up. Click on salt and read the interesting article. And by the way, salt is added and it is advised that if your dog is on a salt restricted diet to abstain from this food. Hope you will find all your questions about salt answered in the article. Good Luck!
In response to clicking on the ‘ingredient list’ above regarding salt content on Badlands Ranch dog food. If you read it, you’ll see that the list contains ingredients that are not contained in Badlands Ranch dog food but rather just a list of ingredients that are contained in other brands as well. I have two Pomeranians, one of which has a chicken allergy. She had spent three days at the vet due to bleeding from both ends. After starting her on the Badlands Ranch Beef Superfood, she is healthy as ever and has no more issues. She is acting like a puppy again. I have tried every kind of food out there and have spent more money than I care to say. Nothing worked except for this one and she loves it. From my experience, I can tell you that this is the best food ever. I hope this helps.
can’t get in touch with them I called and waited for 65 minutes no answer
Should I be concerned that their poop is very black very sticky and smells awful. Not that poop is supposed to be like a rose but I’m concerned about this very much. Also they are still licking their paws 🐾 and they both get allergy shots every month. Think I need to cancel subscription. I’ve used 3 bags already. I have to chop it up every morning and evening. Not liking that part. It looks and feels like wood bark chips.
I was soo excited when I received my 4 bag order and how responsive my 4yr old French Bulldog is to it, he loves it!!! Did notice he was extremely thirsty and figured it was prob high in sodium, but he drinks plenty of water so I wasn’t too concerned! HOWEVER, I’m on day 3 going on 4 and my boy has had yellow diarrhea all dog, like a faucet! It’s smells like chemicals and he’s miserable! I don’t know if it’s the food, but have eliminated other possibilities(he smelled something funny on our walk, etc.) SO, even though he loves it and will eat it, I’m going to have to stop for a day or so and see if that is what’s causing his massive yellow runny poop! “BUMMER”!!!
I guess this dogfood is expensive. We just watched the short…long info commercial. My 2 dogs would eat this $40 dollar a bag in probably 3 days at the most. Maybe the rich and famous can afford this food and its probably good for the dogsI’m sure. But I’ll stick with my food that they love.
I’ve been getting this dog food for 2 yrs and only used it as a treat because it was so expensive! My dogs loved it but now I order a new batch of it and it is completely before, now it’s different! It was hard meat looking before now it smells different is soft and crumbly beware they have change it and my dog won’t eat it! She loved it before, has anybody else notice this?
Ok Badlands Ranch is on the No Feed list due to dogs getting sick . Diarea , throwing up . I’m so mad at all of theses dog food brands . They need to take responsibility and they would be glad to answer all questions if something wasn’t wrong . If they get their minerals or vitamins from the same only manufacturers of it in the country . Check your dog food and cook for them until we figure this out .
I have a very picky chihuahua & this is the first food I finally found that she’ll eat with no issues. It literally took me 5 years to find a food she would eat every day. It’s made her gain some much needed weight & also made her stools much more regular. Yes it is expensive but my dog is small so it doesn’t take much to feed her so the cost isn’t ant more expensive than the food I’ve wasted money on trying to get her to eat. They recommend that you use it as a topper for food so maybe that’s the issue with anyone that’s had a dog get sick. Since this is the only food my dog will eat, we do not use it as a topper & she’s been fine if not healthier than ever. I highly recommend it.
