Front of the Pack is a dog supplement company launched in the summer of 2020 and focuses on providing supplements to combat common health issues and what they describe as a decline in canine health.
Front of the Pack isn’t alone in this objective, and the dog supplement space has seen tremendous growth in the last few years with brands like Nutra Thrive, Dinovite, Dr. Marty Pets, Ruff Greens, and Zesty Paws.
We anticipate the demand for these dog supplements will continue to grow in the coming years and Front of the Pack is almost certain to be one of the leaders in this growth.
Like many of the other supplement or online-based dog food brands, Front of the Pack offers enticing offers and incentives to purchase or subscribe to their products directly.
This style of marketing has proven incredibly effective and appealing to pet owners and was popularised by brands like The Farmer’s Dog, Ollie, and Nom Nom.

Front of the Pack Product Range
As we touched on, Front of the Pack’s main focus is on pet supplements, and they have a small range available, with each supplement focusing on separate health issues.
This includes an all-around supplement known as The One, a supplement targeting calming and anxiety known as Harmony, a supplement to aid itching and gut health called Soothe, and finally, a supplement for joint and mobility called Move.
This range of supplements is typical for the industry and covers most of the major health issues that drive demand for supplements.
In addition to their supplements, Front of the Pack has a small range of cat treats.
Front of the Pack Nutrition
Given that Front of the Pack focuses on pet supplements, the nutrition they provide is less critical.
Instead, pet owners should focus on selecting a high-quality and nutritious pet food recipe with high levels of animal-based protein and fat to combine with Front of the Pack supplements.
However, these supplements do provide some nutrition, but in the form of beneficial micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals.
For example, some of the supplements contain Glucosamine, which is used to help combat arthritis and other joint problems.

Front of the Pack Ingredients
High-Quality Meat & Fish Ingredients

Given that Front of the Pack is a pet supplement brand, their supplements do not contain any significant amount of animal-based ingredients that you would typically see in pet food recipes.
One of their supplements does contain a small portion of Krill Meal which would be considered a high-quality fish ingredient, but the portion is so tiny it is negligible.
Other Notable Ingredients
While many would not have guessed it, some of Front of the Pack’s products contain a small portion of Guar Gum.
Guar Gum is commonly found in wet pet food recipes, and its purpose is to bind the ingredients of the food together to ensure they have a consistent texture and format.
Other common ingredients that are used for the same purpose include Xanthan Gum, Cassia Gum, Agar-Agar, and Carrageenan.
However, you would not normally expect the need for such an ingredient in a supplement, but Front of the Pack includes it nonetheless.

However, a more expected ingredient to feature in Front of the Pack’s supplements is Kelp. While Kelp can also be used as a binding agent, it contains several beneficial minerals and vitamins.
Examples of these include Iodine and Iron, which are critical to certain bodily functions. In addition, some claim that Kelp can help combat sensitive skin and allergies.

Front of the Pack Animal Testing
At this time, we have no information on what type of testing or trials that Front of the Pack participates in for its supplement products.
It is very rare for pet supplements to undergo serious or extensive testing, and it’s more likely that Front of the Pack has carried out small-scale trials.
Regardless, we believe that invasive or laboratory testing of animals for pet food and supplements is an outdated and cruel practice and one which we think should be eliminated.
Front of the Pack Recalls
Based on our research (FDA, AVMA, DogFoodAdvisor), we can find no evidence online that Front of the Pack has ever issued any recalls for its products, which means it is a recall-free brand.
However, given that Front of the Pack’s main focus is on pet supplements, a recall-free record is almost a certainty given how rare recalls of supplements are.
This is because many of the same risks associated with pet food that lead to recalls do not apply to supplements.
Regardless of this current recall-free record, we always encourage pet owners to be vigilant of any future recalls from Front of the Pack to ensure that their pets remain healthy and safe.

The supplement claims to assist with hip and joint stiffness, stress and anxiety, digestion, allergies, breath and plaque, mental sharpness, the immune system, and a healthy heart.
It achieves this thanks to ingredients like Glucosamine, Taurine, Green Tea Extract, and more.
While not all of these ingredients have conclusive evidence to support their benefits, many of them are widely used throughout the industry or in supplements for humans.
The One supplement comes in varying sizes depending on your dog’s size and needs and is designed to be fed daily for maximum benefit.
